St. Patrick's Day Irish Prime Minister of Australia accused of patronage

Also saying, opposition political parties on a dig: "It is great to be green, it may be the only day of the year is safe to state that". For being just like the St Patrick's Day message he delivered a year ago, down to the violating Guinness line the message derided. Irish media have labeled it patronizing.

St Patrick's Day

Speaking ahead of a St Patrick's Day lunch Barack Obama, in Washington DC, Kenny said he failed to agree with the remarks of Abbott. "I have heard the prime minister's remarks," he explained, based on a report in the Irish Independent.

"He made them," he said. "I do not agree with that. I believe it is in order for many Irish people in Australia to do this in an entirely accountable manner, and to have an enjoyable celebration of St Patrick's Day and St Patrick's week.

"There is a long-term perspective of a stage Irish understanding. I reject that. I presume it is vital that people recognize that we've got a national day which can be observed globally, St Patrick's Day."

  Happy St Patrick's Day!

Inquired if the Irish ambassador had whined about Abbott's message, Australia's foreign affairs minister, Julie Bishop, said: "I Have not had the Irish ambassador whine of a conspicuous consumption of booze.
